In a recent interview, Anjali spoke about the dramatic showdown scene in the movie, wherein she is face-to-face with Jaya Bachchan.
She told Indian Express that the veteran actress was close to tears when she was delivering the dialogues. Later on, Jaya Bachchan revealed that she was crying because Anjali was crying in the scene. Anjali went on to describe the veteran actress as a ‘sweet and chill’ person who was like a buddy to her and would bring delicious food on the sets every Sunday.
Directed by Karan Johar, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is a romantic drama, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. The film has already entered the coveted 100 crore club at the box office. The biggest highlight of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has been the kissing scene between Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi. Commenting on the same, Shabana had shared, “I think the maximum comments that I’m getting are like, ‘Oh wow, we would have never imagined you in this kind of role and you carry it out with such grace’. Grace is the word that comes up often. “You’re not prepared for it in any way at all… But I am like ‘why is this so surprising’… An actor who has a strong woman image, why is it not possible that she can also be a romantic person? It’s not like strong women don’t have any romantic bones in their body.”
