Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary while speaking to ANI on August 07 demanded the restoration of Rahul Gandhi’s Parliamentary membership. He said, “Until Rahul Gandhi is accepted in the Parliament the situation will remain worrisome for the Opposition. Secondly, we want the Supreme Court’s certified copy to be submitted so that no one is able to make any excuses any further. “We’ve given all the documents including order copy. We will meet Lok Sabha Speaker today and if needed we will protest as well. It is our right…” Rahul Gandhi’s Parliamentary membership was cancelled after he was found guilty of defamation by the Surat Court over his ‘Modi’ surname remark. The Supreme Court recently put a stay on his conviction because of which the Opposition is demanding the restoration of his membership.
