The Bharatiya Janata Party has unleashed an attack on the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, alleging Chinese funding for the party following an investigative New York Times report which claimed that the New Delhi-based media portal, Newsclick is fuelling Chinese propaganda. BJP has also accused the Congress of defending NewsClick during an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate in 2021 into its funding. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, ‘China, Congress and NewsClick, a news portal, are part of one umbilical cord’. Watch
