Producer Boney Kapoor has been part of the movie industry for nearly 5 decades and has been a part of many memorable films. But it is only now that he tried to give acting a shot, even though his brothers Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor have been actors for decades.
The producer turned actor in an interview with Hindustan Times mentioned that he became an actor only because his four kids Arjun, Anshula, Janhvi and Khushi encouraged him to do so and told him ‘Yeh karna hi hoga’ and he jumped into it.
He also revealed that he has not seen his debut film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and he blames his own nervousness for it. He isn’t sure if he’s done well in the role, though people have appreciated his act of a Punjabi father to Ranbir Kapoor. He also mentioned that he got calls from people who felt that he had a small role and he should have been there in the entire film. Ask him the reason for the short length of his role and he jokingly tells to write a letter to the director of the film Luv Ranjan asking him why he wasted a good talent like Boney Kapoor.
Janhvi Kapoor already has been a part of the movies and now his youngest daughter Khushi Kapoor will also become a part of the industry with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. When asked what advice he would give to his daughter, he said that today’s kids don’t need any advice, they are very intelligent already.
