ED officials take TN Minister V Senthil Balaji from Puzhal prison to the ED office

ED officials took TN minister V Senthil Balaji from Puzhal Central Jail prison to the ED office on Aug 8. The SC on Aug 7 dismissed the pleas of Balaji and his wife challenging the Madras H C’s judgment which held his arrest legal by the ED. The ED had arrested Senthil on July 14 in connection with the cash-for-jobs scam that occurred in the state’s transport department, and he continues to be a Minister without portfolio.
